Can anyone tell me what actually happened at Ralph Wilson Park?

I read the Buffalo News piece about the Conservancy leadership all resigning at once and I genuinely can't figure out what triggered it. They literally have nobody left except an acting chairman.

I live on the Lower West Side, so I've had a front-row seat to the construction and all the road closures that came with it. We've been patient through all of it because the promise of what this park is supposed to become is real. A $250 million waterfront transformation is a big deal for this neighborhood.

Does anyone have any actual inside knowledge about what caused the exodus? And does this push the summer opening back? That's the part I'm most worried about.
