Digital mapping of Buffalo streets
I was reading an article about how the city is planning to digitally map all the streets in Buffalo to help guide repairs. As someone who's lived on the West Side for years, I can attest to the fact that our roads are in desperate need of repair. I've lost count of how many times I've had to replace my car's suspension due to all the potholes on Richmond Avenue.
I'm glad to see that the city is taking steps to address this issue, but I hope they don't forget about the smaller side streets like mine. It seems like all the attention is always focused on the main roads like Delaware Avenue and Hertel Avenue, while the rest of us are left to deal with crumbling infrastructure.
I'm curious to know more about how this project will work and how residents can get involved. Will we be able to report potholes and other issues through an app or website? I'd love to see some transparency and accountability in this process, especially since it's our tax dollars that are funding it.
