Lockdown at SUNY Erie campus

I was driving down Main St near the SUNY Erie campus yesterday and saw all the police cars and ambulances, I had no idea what was going on. Turns out it was a lockdown due to a reported gun on campus, but thankfully it was a false alarm. I hope the students and staff are okay after that scare.

I've lived in Buffalo my whole life and it's crazy how often we're hearing about lockdowns and security threats in our city. As a parent of a student at Buffalo State, it's terrifying to think about what could happen.

Does anyone know what measures are being taken to improve security at our local schools and colleges?
