Public Espresso is really gone and I don't know what to do with that

I've been staring at my phone all morning since I read the news. Public Espresso closing all three locations after 13 years just hit me harder than I expected. Their downtown spot has been part of my morning routine for nearly a decade.

The owners said the 'changing tides' of small business made things impossible to keep going, and honestly, I get it — but it doesn't make it hurt less. It feels like we keep losing the places that made Buffalo's food and coffee scene feel like something worth bragging about.

For those of us who were regulars downtown — where are you going now? I want to make sure my money is still going to local roasters who are still fighting to stay open. Overwinter seems like the obvious move, but open to other suggestions.
