The Burgard alumni aren't wrong, and the school board needs to hear that

I watched the news coverage of the Burgard alumni pushing back on BPS leadership, and every single thing they said was correct. Holes in the ceiling. Broken bathrooms. Clocks that don't work. These are the conditions kids on the East Side are trying to learn in.
We live in a city where property taxes are among the highest in the country, and certain schools are literally falling apart. At what point does the board stop scheduling more meetings to 'review the situation' and actually write a check to fix these buildings?
Those alumni showing up and making noise is exactly what needs to happen. Students at Burgard deserve to feel like their school was worth investing in. That shouldn't be a controversial position.
