Beloved 'Sweet Jenny's Ice Cream' Prepares for Spring Reopening in Williamsville
The historic Williamsville ice cream parlor and comic book shop is officially opening its windows for the 2026 season this weekend.
Spring has officially arrived in the Village of Williamsville, signaled by the highly anticipated seasonal reopening of Sweet Jenny's Ice Cream. The beloved local shop, located inside the historic 19th-century water mill on Spring Street, will officially open its service windows this Friday, March 27th, at noon.
Owned by Howard and Tara Cadmus, the unique business combines small-batch, homemade ice cream with a massive comic book and pop culture retail shop on the second floor. Sweet Jenny's is renowned for its creative, hyper-local flavors, including 'Sponge Candy' and 'Loganberry', which draw massive lines that wrap around the building on warm summer nights.
"We spend all winter dreaming up new flavor combinations and making huge batches of our signature chocolates," Howard Cadmus said while prepping the shop on Tuesday. "There's nothing quite like the energy of opening weekend. Seeing all the neighborhood families come back is the best part of the job."
To celebrate the opening weekend, Sweet Jenny's will be debuting a brand new flavor called 'Amherst Crunch,' featuring a vanilla bean base, chocolate-covered pretzels, and homemade caramel swirl. The shop will be open from noon until 9:00 PM daily through the spring.
