Scarlett, a 4 1/2 year old dog, is looking for a forever home in Buffalo. Buddy's Second Chance Rescue is working to find her a permanent residence. According to Julie Starr with Buddy's Second Chance Rescue, Scarlett is about 70 pounds and is in need of a loving family.
"Scarlett is about 4 1/2 years old, she's 70 pounds," Julie Starr said. This effort is part of the city's ongoing initiative to find homes for animals in need, particularly in the Buffalo area.
The city has a large number of animal shelters, including Buddy's Second Chance Rescue, which are working to find permanent homes for dogs like Scarlett. Buffalo residents, especially those in the South Buffalo neighborhood, are being encouraged to consider adopting a pet from a local shelter. The adoption process typically involves an application, interview, and home visit to ensure the pet is going to a suitable home. As Buffalo continues to grow and develop, the need for animal adoption and rescue services remains a priority.
The next adoption event will be held on June 29 at the Buffalo Animal Shelter.
