Hamburg continued its strong start to the season with a 14-9 victory over Canisius, capitalizing on early-season offensive momentum. The Bulldogs took advantage of defensive lapses and inconsistent pitching to build a lead they would not relinquish.
Despite the loss, Canisius saw solid contributions from Ayden Emmick, who drove in three runs, and Joshua Kandefer, who provided two hitless innings of relief. However, Hamburg’s consistent pressure at the plate proved decisive.
Now 2-0, Hamburg sits atop the early ECIC I standings. Their ability to generate runs in bunches has made them one of the most dangerous offensive teams in Western New York to start the spring season.
