When you're making a deep run in the NCAA Division II tournament, you need everyone. For the Daemen Wildcats, that's included two freshmen guards who look like they've been doing this for years.
Nakyhi Harris and Jaiden Harrison have stepped into the spotlight and handled it. They've handled the ball in pressure situations, given the team a defensive spark off the bench, and generally played with a poise that you don't always expect from first-year players on this kind of stage.
Daemen has done an excellent job building its backcourt through recruiting, and this two-man freshman tandem is the latest proof. If the Wildcats want to get past the Elite Eight and bring a national title back to Amherst, those two are going to need to keep delivering.
