The University at Buffalo softball team split a critical doubleheader against Miami (OH) on April 3, showing both vulnerability and resilience. After falling 10-3 in the opener, the Bulls responded with a strong offensive performance to take Game 2 by a 9-5 margin.
Trailing 5-1 early in the second game, Buffalo erupted for seven runs in the third inning. Abbey Nagel delivered the biggest blow with a three-run home run, finishing with four RBIs, while Bri Delaney went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate.
Pitcher Genevieve Longsdorf earned the win in relief, stabilizing the game after a rough start. The split keeps Buffalo competitive in the MAC standings as they head into the series finale with renewed confidence.
